Trusted to care

A closely-knit team of managers, carers, nurses and support colleagues – and each of us is dedicated to your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing.

I love that Care UK’s vision and values are resident based, and colleagues look after each other here. I’m proud to have worked across three Care UK homes in the North East as I have progressed in my career from Team Leader to Deputy Manager and now to Home Manager.

As Home Manager, my role is to ensure residents receive the care and support they need and to inspire my team to promote and provide a high standard of care. In order to make a difference to the lives of residents, I believe it’s important to have strong values, to be focused, caring, assertive and passionate.

I enjoy any part of the day where we meet the residents’ daily care and support needs, but I particularly love completing my walk arounds throughout the day, as I have the opportunity to see the residents and spend time with them.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, particularly my grandchildren. I love to see live music, and I attend several concerts every year.
