St Ives care home hosts artisan farmers market for community

 

A care home in St Ives recently opened its doors for a day of Harvest Festival fun, as it hosted an artisan farmers market for the local community. 

Care UK’s Field Lodge, on London Road, recently welcomed St Ives locals to its farmers market, which featured a variety of artisan stalls showcasing fresh eggs, cheeses, jams, pickles, and baked goods including bread, cakes, and savoury pastries. 

The event was part of Field Lodge’s Harvest Festival celebrations, which also included a partnership with All Saints Parish Hall to collect donations for St Ives Foodbank, ensuring that the care home’s festivities had a positive impact on the wider community. 

Linda Martinez, Home Manager at Field Lodge, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people come together to celebrate Harvest Festival with us at our farmers market. We’re proud to be part of such a strong community here in St Ives, and it was wonderful to see both familiar and new faces enjoying the day. 

“This event not only showcased the vibrant life at Field Lodge, but also demonstrated our commitment to supporting those in need. By partnering with St Ives Foodbank, we were able to collect much-needed donations to help local families during these challenging times.
