Essex care home sweetens Emergency Services Day with treats for local heroes

 

Colleagues from an Essex care home, along with one of their residents, made a heartwarming gesture of appreciation to local firefighters and paramedics. 

The team from Care UK’s Manor Lodge and 84-year-old resident Sister Rosemary Peacock visited emergency services workers in the local area with an assortment of doughnuts.

The group visited Chelmsford Fire Station and the Essex Ambulance Service to show their appreciation. 

Sister Rosemary Peacock, resident at Manor Lodge, said: “I had a wonderful day visiting the emergency services to deliver their well-deserved gifts. I was so happy to bring a little sweetness to their day and show them how much we care.” 

Maggie Ziemianska, Home Manager at Manor Lodge, said: “Here at Manor Lodge, we know that our emergency services play a crucial role in our community. We wanted to show our appreciation and bring a little bit of joy to their day with these sweet treats. It’s a small gesture, but it’s our way of saying thank you for all that they do.”
